Mills

The production of Honka homes is concentrated to two factories in Karstula and Alajärvi.

Karstula Mill

The mill in Karstula is the main facility and it was founded in 1971 in order to produce round logs. Nowadays there are about 165 employees. Additionally, the factory manufactures the sawn goods. The logistics center is also located in Karstula and it delivers ca. 23,000 m³ of log, plus 33,000 m³ of timber products, every year.

The total area of the factory is 40 hectares and the total area of the production buildings ca. 22,000 m².

Alajärvi Mill

The mill in Alajärvi was joined in Honka in 1994. The mill manufactures all the laminated logs for Honka homes and the yearly production is ca. 32,000 m³. That equals ca. 160,000 m² of finished log walls. In addition, the laminated beam production at the mill equals ca. 3,000 m³ per year.
