Woelfle Residence wolf2.jpg

A colorful Alpine chalet on a New York lake built of logs from the Artic Circle joined jigsaw pieces by Swedish-cope corners all covered with a snow-shedding roof tile, a Mexican influence. Must be a Honka from Finland, designed by it's American owner. In fact, Will Woelfle not only designed this home to squeeze in a lake view backdropped by mountain in every room, he also acted as general contactor and finished the inside himself (with help from family and friends.)

A moderate do-it-yourselfer before his Honka experience, Woelfle took his ideas and energy, our materials and guidance, and created a wolf4.jpgsingular masterpiece. When he and his wife Joyce walk out their logged living room onto a sun-splashed deck secluded with trees and lake, they almost can't believe they're home.
